Another Chill Day

It is a mellow day here in the Bay.
The weather is mild.
Nothing exciting is happening.
Time is slowly floating by.
Sha, sha, shaaaaaaa.

Very chill.
Started the day with some work and then ate some lunch.
Wow.

Aren’t you on the edge of your seat?
Careful now, you do not want to fall off.

The afternoon is slow.
Coffee is not doing much to rev my engine.
So I am revamping my blog.

Kudos to me.
A somewhat productive project.
Hope the end result is astounding.

Now scoot back into your seat.
Plug in your headphones.
Sway to my music of the moment.

Deadmau5 & Kaskade.
Move for me.
Very chill.

What Alarm?

Due to a disgustingly late start this morning, I have no magic java nectar coursing through my body. Damn. I even went through the trouble of setting the coffee maker and everything. Note to self: Set a back-up alarm for all work mornings.

As a result of my hurried attempt to get out the door this morning, I was reminded of a movie. In Four Weddings and a Funeral, Charlie (Hugh Grant) and his roommate, Scarlett, are phenomenally late for a series of different weddings.

The opening sequence of the film shows how all other wedding guests spend the morning at ease; the alarm clock goes off and the morning begins. In Charlie’s case, however, the alarm snooze-button is hit and sleep continues. Then, chaos ensues.

Check out the clip below =D Be warned… a certain four letter f-word is used repeatedly in the clip.
Four Weddings and a Funeral [Hit 2.53 to 9.09]

Classic Quote from Charles: “Excuse me. I think I had better be where other people are not.”

Bad News Sucks

Bad news, bears. Bad news is never good; especially on a day when you don’t even want to think negative things.

So, to push away the bad thoughts and pull forward the good, I have lined up some jawsome clips to put a smile on my face. Check it out. Have a laugh. Crack a smile and think happy thoughts!

Mardis Gras Birthday Bash

24.

Not quite 25 but older than 21.

Tomorrow I celebrate the passing of time and the addition of yet another candle on my cake. In honor of the occasion, my beau and I are donning masks and heading towards the city lights for a night of music and pre-Mardis Gras mania. There will be booze. There will be beads. There will even be a masquerade. There will not be flashing. Come on… I mean I like beads and all… but I would rather buy them than use a boob-flash as collateral.

Call me crazy…

I picked up some gorgeous masks for my beau and me in preparation for tomorrow’s festivities. The masks are gorgeously painted and covered with sparkles. *Ooooo, shiny.* Though I was tempted to forgo an extra ten dollars for the mask with the huge feather, I decided to save the money for drinks. In the end, any money spent on drinks is quickly forgotten… at least after drinks four and five. =p

All of the mask shopping reminded me of a song/scene in the musical The Phantom of the Opera. This scene is the beginning of Act II.

Masquerade!
Paper faces on parade.
Masquerade,
Hide your face so the world will never find you.

Without a doubt, The Phantom of the Opera is my favorite musical. The story line is brilliant and the music is divine. I was even lucky enough to catch the live NYC Broadway show… twice. Good stuff. Mind you, the clip above is from the movie version but it is still a grand depiction of the Masquerade Ball revelry.

Oddly enough, the Mardis Gras talk also brings to mind a tree next to a ski lift. At almost every ski area I have ever been to, there is a tree next to at least one lift that is littered with Mardis Gras beads and abandoned bras. Ooh-la-la. Classy. On a recent ski trip, my brother and I noted that one such bra was absolutely ginormous— a bra meant for D-cups, at least. After spending that much money on the much needed support, why would Miss Ginormous Bra willingly leave it on a tree? Man, one too many moguls would make for major discomfort at the end of that ski day.
