Erotic Knitting. Errr?

Another day of organizing books. Ah, the excitement. I was working with books about crafts and hobbies. Double exciting. Most of the hobby subcategories are about making clothes, dolls, jewelry or scrapbooks.

Now, in my eyes, knitting never seemed like a hobby I would enjoy—I am more of a read a book, play a sport kind of person. But, I do admit that I made a lot of beaded jewelry when I was younger. You know how little kids sometimes sell neighbors refreshments via a lemonade stand? Well, my friends and I tried to sell our homemade jewelry. Suffice it to say, our neighborhood stand was not in business for very long.

While I was organizing the books today, I could not help browsing at the pictures of old school knit sweaters. While some of the books try to give a modern flare to the knit sweater look, others go above and beyond the call of modern style. What do I mean? Answer: knit lingerie.

Yeah, I am not sure how sexy a knit one, curl two corset could possibly be. I don’t know about you, but I associate knitting with sweaters, blankets, and an older woman rocking in a chair while knitting. Ew, I don’t wanna cross the thought of a knit corset with a grandma-knitter…

Beer on a Lukewarm Roof

Spring sunshine calls my name.
My stomach grumbles for sustenance.
The beer in the fridge stares at me with refreshing confidence.
What should I do?
Lunch and beer on a lukewarm roof.

…yeah, yeah, I am no Tennessee Williams (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof).

Ah, lovely spring time weather. The sun is shinning but it is still not too hot outside. Perfecto! What a gorgeous day to enjoy lunch and a refreshing Becks on my apartment building’s roof terrace with my beau.

The lunch menu comprised of bratwurst, sauerkraut, and Becks. Hmmmm, it makes me feel like I should be in Bavaria or something. Well, since the cost of a last minute flight does not fit into my budget, I guess lunch on the roof is not a bad compromise.

While I sipped by Becks, both my beau and I were reminded of a funny snippet from the movie Beerfest. If you were a fan of Super Troopers, Beerfest is definitely a movie for you. Any who, in this particular bit of the movie Becks is honored as one of Germany’s top native brews.

Und Becks! — from Beerfest

If you are awesome, you will watch the entire clip. If you are pressed for time, hit minute 1.17-1.33.

Ah, beer. What a past we share…

Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Back in the day, Whose Line Is It Anyway? was one of the few shows that could make me laugh without fail. If you are not familiar with either the British or American version of the show, here are the shows basics: there is a host, there is an improv piano player, and there are four improv comedians. The host keeps the show running smoothly while the comedians act out a variety of improv games.

Once the first game gets going, the comedy follows.

In the American version of the show, Drew Carey is the host (*Meh, he does not really matter*). Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady, and Colin Mochrie are the best comedians that are consistently on the show. Hilarious.

So, for a mental break today, check out the clip below of a funny game from Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

Calling All Muppets

A day or so ago, my mind stumbled upon Fozzie Bear. If you are not familiar with Jim Henson’s Muppets, Fozzie Bear is the puppet that is notorious for his cheeseball jokes. For example, one of Fozzie’s joke went something like this:

What do you get when you cross the Atlantic with the Titanic?
Answer: Half way!

Wacca, wacca, wacca! Good stuff. When I was growing up, I was a huge fan of the Muppets. The Muppets star in several Muppet movies. My favorite Muppet movie depicts the chaos that occurs when the Muppets visit Walt Disney World. While Gonzo and Camilla tour the less frequented secrets of the Disney laundry system, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem have a concert.

Before the Muppets reach Disney World, the gang go with Kermit the Frog to visit his relatives in the swamp. Actually, the purpose of the trip was to party at the swamp, but the rest of the Muppets are having none of that. Any who, the Florida frogs are jamming to some crazy tunes at the swamp. Enjoy!
