Legs, hair and an eight-eyed stare

Here in Eugene, there are creepy spiders everywhere. I mean everywhere.

There is a ginormous black spider in my closet. There are spiders near the front door and the back door. There is also a large spider in the corner of the living room, but technically she is a pet so there is nothing I can do about her.

Icky. If I walk through another spider web I will be forced to wear a protective suit and eyewear.

My blog stat chart looks crazy. It is like driving near Mt. Shasta. Sure, there are other hills near by, but out of nowhere pops up this huge, snow-covered behemoth.

I think it is safe to say that the “day of 91″ is a phenomenon. It is the result of luck and Internet mystery. Soak up the wonder, folks. Soak it up.

Jackabea

Today I finished yet another book, I made a trip to my favorite local bookstore *wink… I work there* to take advantage of my killer discount. I ended up with three books, even though I only went in for one. What can I say… it is a sickness.

While browsing the sale shelves I came across a book about dog breed hybrids. Let me tell you, some breeds are not meant to be crossed. There are lots of poodle mixes. Not my dog of choice by any means. I mean, Labradoodle? Puggle? Both of these breeds are better off without the poodle. Though the reasons for using a poodle for cross-breeding are clear (poodles are notorious for never shedding), I am not interested.

Yet amongst the bizarre poodle mixes I found the cutest breed hybrid: Jackabea. A Jackabea is a Beagle-Jack Russell Terrier mix. Oh, so cute. It has all of the adorable qualities of both breeds in its features.

Who could possibly look at that face and not fall in love? It reminds me of my Jack Russell. Now he is the cutest dog alive. Old man is turning 12 this week. Even though he is old he still has the desire to cause mischief and the energy to bark at every animal/human that dares to step near his property. Those deer just never learn =D Happy Birthday Milo!
