Princess Teresa Hard Lemonade’s Movie Marathon

It is almost like I am 15 again. But this time around, I get to enjoy my princess, romantic happy-ending movies with a side of alcohol. Yeah!

My beau is working in the city for the week. Thus, I am left to find my own entertainment during the evenings. Tonight I am enjoying some fluffy, extra-girlie movies and a whole bunch of Mike’s Hard Lemonade. I have not felt this stereotypically girlie in quite some time.

Six bottles and three movies in and I am longing to don a tiara and a beautiful ball gown.

Ladies and gentleman, introducing the crowned princess Teresa Hard Lemonade the Sixth!

Check out some of the clips from a few of my ‘flicks of the evening’:
Made of Honor – Patrick Dempsey is sooooo dream*eyelashes fluttering*
Enchanted – an adorable movie clip (Amy Adams steals the screen)
The Princess Diaries – the shots on San Fran make me miss the city =[

Field of Marshmallows

“If you build it, they will come.”
[from Field of Dreams]

Now, I have heard this quote before. People have applied the concept to many different situations. Why? It all boils down to the value which the saying endorses: faith. Faith in an idea, faith in humanity and faith in yourself.

Well, my friends, my faith has been bolstered. My faith in imagination. My faith in one’s ability to look beyond the obvious answer and bask in the light of creativity.

Driving near the Oregon coast, my friends and I came across a field. At first sight, it looked like standard farm land. With bales of hay… hay? Wait one second. That hay is white?

Ha ha! In fact, the ‘hay’ does not look like hay at all. The shapes scattered across the farm land look like large, white fluffy marshmallows! We all notice the similarity. It is not just me. Everyone in the car starts joking about the farm’s large marshmallows.

What could they possibly be used for? Are they growing marshmallows to construct a new Michelin Man? Has a giant been pooping out whole marshmallows? Maybe this is a sign of faith: if you grow extra large marshmallows, the entire state will come to the farm to take part in creating the world’s largest s’more.

Ah, the possibilities. It makes me giggle. We all took part in the banter. It was refreshing to joke about the bizarre—to escape logic. Hurray for staying creative! Life is always more fun when its mixed with a dusting of crazy sparkles… and marshmallows.  ;+D

***Note: For those of you who want to know, the large white objects on the farm field were, in reality, bales of hay wrapped in plastic. ***

Super Cool High School

For whatever reason, I have been quoting Stewie lately (from Family Guy). When I find myself making a big deal about nothing, I quote Stewie: “I wear short sleeved shirts, under long sleeved shirts, under short sleeved shirts.”

I really don’t have much of a post for it. So, this is a short one.

Here is a clip from the episode when Stewie bets Brian that he can walk into the local high school and become instantly popular. Like all Family Guy episodes, the story ends up taking a turn for the worse. Yet, before that moment, Stewie perfectly sums up the over dramatized teenage stage of life.

Heads Up: Like many episodes, this clip is definitely PG-13.
Short sleeves shirts, under long sleeve shirts, under short sleeve shirts - Family Guy, Stewie in HS

Ha ha ha. I totally used to wear long sleeved shirts under short sleeved shirts. I also would wear short sleeved shirts under long sleeved shirts. What can I say, I was suuuuper cool.

Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Back in the day, Whose Line Is It Anyway? was one of the few shows that could make me laugh without fail. If you are not familiar with either the British or American version of the show, here are the shows basics: there is a host, there is an improv piano player, and there are four improv comedians. The host keeps the show running smoothly while the comedians act out a variety of improv games.

Once the first game gets going, the comedy follows.

In the American version of the show, Drew Carey is the host (*Meh, he does not really matter*). Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady, and Colin Mochrie are the best comedians that are consistently on the show. Hilarious.

So, for a mental break today, check out the clip below of a funny game from Whose Line Is It Anyway?.
